Benefits and Funding - Disability Living Allowance

The above button will take you directly to the relevant page where you will find the application form and guidance notes.  Please note that this form is for under 16's - over 16's will need to complete a different form. 

DLA is made up of 2 parts, the ‘care component’ and the ‘mobility component’. To get DLA you must be eligible for at least one of the components.

How much DLA you get depends on how your disability or health condition affects you. When completing your form be sure to add as much information as possible

Family Fund 
Family Fund are a charity that supports families and provide grants for a wide range of items, such as washing machines, sensory toys, family breaks, bedding, tablets, furniture, outdoor play equipment, clothing and computers.  The below button will take you to their page. AWARE - Airedale & Wharfedale Autism Resource


Aware is a parent  run group supporting families with children and young adults on the spectrum. They also have a members only area which allows parents to connect safely with other families who share common ground.  They pride themselves in being a 'one stop shop' for all things autism.

Newlife Charity



Newlife are a charity that seek to improve the lives of children with life long disabilities and their families by providing funding for  equipment that is needed to improve quality of life, this may be a specific pushchair/wheelchair, bed or hoist depending upon the disability and circumstances.  Presently Newlife runs the only fast track equipment services in the UK helping those children in urgent need.
